ABOUT ME
I am a teacher and coach at Kennewick High School. I've been married to my beautiful wife Trudy since 2001 We have two amazing children. My son DJ is 16, and my daughter Faith is 13. I am a proud 1995 graduate of Kennewick High. I earned a B.A. in History from WSU Pullman in 2000 and a Masters in Education from WSU Tri Cities in 2005.
TEACHING AT KHS
I've taught at KHS since 2000. For the first 8 years I taught only English/Language Arts. Classes I taught were Mythology, Vocabulary, American Literature, and Freshman English. For a few years I taught in both the English and Social Studies departments. Since then, I've taught exclusively in the Social Studies department. I currently teach U.S. History and Pre-IB World History courses. I have also taught World History/Geography.
COACHING AT KHS
I've been a Lion football coach since the fall of 2001. I've coached at all 3 levels (Frosh, JV, Varsity) and on both sides of the ball (offense and defense). This fall, I will be the defensive line coach at the varsity and JV level. For the first 10 years of my career, I was also a basketball coach in the boys program.
